Ashwagandha. Shilajit. Turmeric. Ancient Indian observation, validated by modern science, consumed fastest by Western markets. Synveda is building the supplement brand India should have built first — where clinical doses meet Ayurvedic heritage, and every ingredient has a mechanism, not just a mythology.

The Problem We're Solving
Global Ashwagandha market
Growing at 18% a year. Driven almost entirely by Western markets. Ashwagandha is an Indian herb documented in Ayurveda for 3,000 years.
Annual growth — US Turmeric market
The fastest-growing supplement category in the United States. Turmeric has been a staple of Indian kitchens and Ayurvedic practice for centuries.
The price markup
Western brands extract Indian-origin compounds, run clinical trials with them, and sell them back to us at four times what Indian manufacturers charge.
We are not accusing anyone of theft. We are identifying a failure of trust. The knowledge was always ours. The clinical validation happened abroad because we outsourced our belief in our own system. Synveda's founding question is simple: what would Indian wellness look like if we had trusted Ayurveda enough to run the trials ourselves?
How We Think
Centuries of Ayurvedic observation produced an incredibly detailed map of how plants interact with human biology. Modern science produced the tools to verify that map at a mechanistic level — gene expression, inflammatory markers, cortisol assays.
The two systems keep pointing at the same thing. Ashwagandha for stress — Ayurveda knew it as an adaptogen; pharmacology calls it a cortisol modulator. Turmeric for inflammation — Ayurveda recommended it for joint health; biochemistry identified curcumin's effect on NF-κB pathways. Different languages, same mechanism.
The Synveda thesis
Ancient observation is data.
Imperfect data in some cases. But data that thousands of years of systematic use produced and that modern trials keep validating.
Science is not the alternative to Ayurveda.
It is the verification system Ayurveda was always waiting for. We use both — and we refuse to pretend there's a conflict.
Dose is where it gets real.
Using an Ayurvedic name on a label is easy. Standardising the extract, running the assay, and matching the clinical trial dose is the actual work. That's where most brands stop. We start there.
A Note From The Founders
Growing up, we watched grandmothers who never relied on a pharmacy — not at 50, not at 70. Specific preparations for specific problems, different formulas for different people. We thought it was stubbornness. We were wrong about that for a long time.
When we entered the wellness industry, we saw what was actually being sold. Supplements with 20% of the ingredients the label promised and 120% of the marketing story. Beautiful packaging. Impressive claims. Trace amounts of anything that actually worked.
What bothered us wasn't just the dishonesty. It was the wasted opportunity. India has one of the world's most sophisticated traditional knowledge systems for human health. And we're producing supplement brands that treat Ayurveda as a logo. The words "Ayurvedic" or "herbal" printed on a bottle in gold font, next to a dose that would do nothing to a mouse, let alone a person.
Synveda started from a single decision: if we're going to make supplements, every ingredient has to earn its place — with a mechanism, a clinical reference, and a dose that matches what that reference actually used. That's the floor, not the aspiration.
Before we build anything, we want to understand what you actually need. Not what the category tells us to make — what the people we're making it for are genuinely dealing with. That's what the audit is for.

Tell us what you need →What We Stand For
These are not aspirations. They are constraints. Every decision we make gets measured against them.
01
The supplement category runs on token doses — amounts too small to deliver biological effect, present only so the ingredient name can appear on the label. We dose at what published, peer-reviewed studies actually used. If a clinical trial used 600mg of Ashwagandha to demonstrate an effect, our label will say 600mg. Not 200mg with a marketing story about why that's actually better.
02
Most brands use Ayurvedic names as marketing shorthand. "With the power of Turmeric." We use standardised herbal extracts — lab-verified for the specific active compound percentage that modern science has confirmed. Bhringraj standardised to 2.5% ecliptine. Ashwagandha at 5% withanolides. Turmeric at 95% curcuminoids. The tradition stays. The batch-to-batch variability doesn't.
03
Every ingredient. Every milligram. Every form — because Zinc as bisglycinate is bioavailable; Zinc as oxide largely isn't. Every source. No "proprietary blends" — that phrase exists to hide weak doses behind a legal shield. If we can't be transparent about what's in it, it shouldn't be in it.
04
A supplement in gummy form should still be a supplement, not a candy. Sweetened with fruit pectin and natural flavouring. Zero added sugar, zero artificial preservatives, zero synthetic colours. FSSAI-compliant. GMP-certified. Made in India.
05
Most supplement companies don't want educated customers — an educated customer asks inconvenient questions about dose and efficacy. We want you to ask the hardest questions we can answer. If you read everything we publish and decide you don't need what we make, we consider that a success. Your trust is the asset we're building.
Before We Build Anything
We're not launching until we know what the people we're building for actually need. The audit is 60 seconds. Six questions. No email required to see your result. And your answers shape what we build — directly.
Take the 60-second Audit →No selling. No spam. One honest question at a time.
What the audit is
Six questions. Sixty seconds.
The same questions a thoughtful Ayurvedic practitioner would ask before recommending anything. What's driving it. How long it's been happening. What you've tried.
An honest result — including "you don't need anything."
If the audit tells us you don't have a deficiency or gap that a supplement would address, we'll say so. We're not here to sell you something you don't need.
Your responses shape the formulation.
We're in pre-launch. What the audit tells us — across thousands of responses — determines what we build first, how we dose it, and what gets prioritised.
What the audit is not
Not a sales funnel.
You won't see a product at the end with an "Add to Cart" button. We don't have a product to sell yet. We're building one.
Not a data harvest.
We never sell your data. We only collect an email if you want a summary sent to you. Unsubscribe in one click, any time.
Not a dosha quiz.
We're not labelling you Vata or Pitta and recommending a product line. We're asking what's actually happening in your body and life right now.
SYNVEDA
We're building for India's wellness gap. Your audit helps us understand it — and helps you understand what's actually missing.
